OUR TRAVELOGUE

2007

The Minack Theatre is an amphitheater carved into the cliffs overlooking  Porthcurno Bay, on the southern coast of Cornwall.  The site is surrounded by colorful sub-tropical plants in a spectacular setting, Beginning with a local village play in 1929, the Minack has now become a 750 seat, fully equipped theater under the stars.  While we were there, we watched a rehearsal of Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, which was playing at the time.
